We’ve worked with Flavourtown on their websites since they started back in 2013, helping them to build and grow their presence online. With the ever-increasing popularity of the brand both on- and offline - following the launch of their first shop in London in 2017 - Flavourtown needed their website to not only support this growth but to also provide customers with functionality that was missing from their current Magento website and simplify the daily tasks of their in-house teams.
We re-platformed Flavourtown onto the Shopify e-commerce platform and worked closely with their in-house Graphic Designer to ensure the new website continued to reflect Flavourtown's strong and unique branding. Improving checkout functionality was a strong focus for the new site, ensuring easy collection or delivery selection for customers. From an operations perspective the new website needed to be streamlined for efficient order, baking and delivery management.
Design & Usability
With an established brand and website, the new site needed to continue to reflect Flavourtown's well-known branding and personality, allowing for instant recognition. Collections focus on showcasing products to customers, while individual products have custom options to allow for additional personalisation.
With mobile traffic high for Flavourtown, a key aspect in this re-platforming project was making sure the experience for mobile visitors was simple and easy, without compromising the look, feel and functionality of the website.
Flavourtown's organic search was already well established and driving high quality traffic, this was a key consideration throughout the re-platforming process as we needed to minimise the loss from this channel. By management throughout the process the website gained organic traffic post go-live, with conversion from this channel also improving.
We created a bespoke checkout process for Flavourtown, to enable them to offer a complex matrix of delivery options and prices to customers, while keeping this as simple and streamlined for customers to use. This has resulted in reduced checkout drop-off and improved conversion across all devices and traffic channels.
